What are the goals of Doran Of Illinois Coin Shows?
 
The primary goals of our coin shows are to:
 
1)  Bring together the dealers and the collectors so they can buy, sell, or trade numismatic items, and 2) To further promote the numismatic hobby in the parts of Illinois that are not currently served by a local coin club or commercial venture.

Is there sales tax on coins and currency in Illinois?
 
There is no sales tax on coins or currency in the State of Illinois, but there is a sales tax of 6.25% on supplies and non-numismatic items.  All dealers are responsible for sales tax (if applicable).
 

Where does Doran Of Illinois Coin Shows advertise their shows?

 

Our shows are advertised in all Krause Publications periodicals (Numismatic News, World Coin News, Bank Note Reporter), CoinLink.com, Coinshows.com, Coin World, and the Illinois Numismatic Association Coin Digest.  In addition, we send a public release to the local news media and also, have flyers circulate at coin shows in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.
